The Academy of Financial Markets
Established in 1994, the Academy of Financial Markets (AFM) provides a range of high quality education and training courses in the related fields of financial services, wealth management, business and financial markets.
We engage in ongoing reseach into new developments in the local and international financial markets, which is shared with business people in the form of courses, seminars, in-house training and publications.
Courses range from the basic to advanced and updates are presented internationally.
Institution and program accreditation
AFM is accredited by the Bankseta and currently offer two Qualification courses:
- National Certificate: Financial Markets & Instruments (NQF 6)
- Wealth management or Investment focus options available
- National Certificate: Banking (NQF 5)

Public Courses
AFM offers a range of public courses.
These courses are offered as online live session with access to recordings afterwards while students prepare for the exam and complete their assignment.
Alternatively, AFM offers self-study courses with access to a Digital Learning Platform where students can watch pre-recorded lectures with live audience in preparation for their exam and to complete their assignment.
In both cases the open book exam is online while monitored live via webcam and microphone.
